Autumn Leaves

Nothing could beat this.

With all due respect to Sir John Keats  – Ode to Autumn. One of my favourite poems and poets since my high school days. I would love if you read him before you read mine, which is just a miniature attempt.

Autumn marks the ends of summer season,

and signals that winter is at the horizon.

It lets the fruits and vegetables to ripen,

It has made friends with the sun,

who till now was a foe of the season,

owing to the rising temperatures,

which will now fall and decline,

taking the farmers on cloud nine.

As  when the season matures,

the harvest the farmer procures,

is enough a reason to celebrate,

And this is what “Autumn” is to indicate.

In reponse to the Daily Prompt – Autumn Leaves.
