If I could be a fly on the wall,
I would follow wherever you go.
Howsoever fast or slow.
Be the place big or small.
A place that might be very common,
Or a place that’s not too known.
Be it too near or distantly far.
Be there prevail peace or war.
I ll just need a wall to stick,
And from there I’ll wink,
And stare and gaze at you,
All round the day, not just hours few,
Till evening dusk from morning dew.
So shall break this waiting queue,
And I’ll always be nearest to you.
If being a fly keeps us together,
I’ll happily be a fly for ever and ever.
