Truth Serum

Daily Prompt – You’ve come into possession of one vial of truth serum. Who would you give it to (with the person’s consent, of course) — and what questions would you ask?

Even if I had this truth serum,

I won’t use it,

as it is against my theorem.

of ‘selfless trust’.

It’s only one thing that I demand,

from my closed ones,

& those who reprimand,

don’t stand amongst those.

And what I always ask for is,

Hurt me with the truth,

but don’t comfort me with the lies,

And, forever will I trust you.

Since, it will be with the person’s consent,

and if he doesn’t give his assent,

it is clear that he isn’t true

and so more clearer will be my view.

I won’t be able to handle the outcome,

that will be poisonous than any venom.

Hence, again this thought,

using the serum has got no point.

So I won’t use it,

Even if I had this truth serum,

as it is against my theorem.
