The Great Divide, really..???

Daily Prompt – When reading for fun, do you usually choose fiction or non-fiction? Do you have an idea why you prefer one over the other?

Fiction is based on imagination,

Non-Fiction is real facts and information.

One talks of the dream world,

& the other of the real world.

Fiction is a voice to the writer’s dreams,

& Non-fiction, a voice to what he attains.

So, in a way they are connected,

& mutually inclusive & not separated.

So, this “Great Divide”

is only in terms of choice.

I am a dreamer in the real world,

and an activist in the dream world.

So, being both a dreamer and a realist,

I have both the types on my list.

To me, Fiction creates fascination,

while non-fiction imparts inspiration.

Fiction originates from thoughts full of passion.

and Non-Fiction from ideals of conviction,

which could possibly happen due to zeal & passion.

and Fiction ends up being illusive conviction.

And so, again I say, this “Great Divide”

is only in terms of choice.
